VACANCY – NQ SOLICITOR – CRIME, FRAUD & REGULATORY
About the role
Candidates do not necessarily need to have criminal experience but they must have a strong intellect, a professional bearing and be comfortable operating in a highly adversarial arena. Provided that the successful candidate performs well in the new role, the prospects for financial and career advancement will be very good indeed.
Responsibilities
- Fee earning on complex fraud and criminal cases
- Training for defending suspects at police stations (if not already trained in that area)
- Crown Court advocacy
- Exposure to coroners’ inquests, regulatory matters and associated civil work such as judicial reviews and actions against public authorities
Requirements
A significant proportion of the firm’s work is privately funded. It involves conducting very high stakes litigation on behalf of clients who have valuable reputations to protect. The candidate will therefore need to perform at the highest level in order to meet those clients’ needs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a newly qualified solicitor.
