We Are Looking For
- A UX Quality Specialist
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with domain, program, and platform cross-functional teams to deploy approved cabin control strategies.
- Serve as a key advocate for our integrated physical/digital strategy.
- Champion "glidepaths" for component strategies to ensure they align with current platform assumptions and long-term goals.
- Review customer feedback for new strategies and leverage those insights to drive iterative improvements.
- Benchmark competitive cabin control strategies for both digital and physical executions.
- Leverage AI tools where appropriate to synthesize data and inform insights.
- Review cabin control strategies across domains for extensibility, proactively capturing issues, gaps, and opportunities for alignment.
- Support 3-D prototyping and collaborate with other prototyping teams as needed to develop concepts.
- Champion the validation of display visibility and contrast through digital UI bench tests and vehicle assessments in the lab (VPEL).
- Document findings and collaborate with design teams to resolve issues.
- Possess technical capabilities to flash software on benches and vehicles to support quality evaluations with human factors / driver distractions.
- Support the development of new tools and processes that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of quality assessments.
- Leverage AI tools where appropriate to enhance the tools capability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ergonomics, interactive design or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in user interface or user interaction design.
- 3+ years of experience with Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience product development or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of user interface or user interactive design experience.
- 2+ years usability testing experience.
- 2+ years concept validation experience.
- 2+ years LLM prompt engineering.
- 2+ years UX prototyping experience.
- Proficient with Figma, JIRA, and Microsoft Office.
Skills

- Support the development of new tools and processes that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of quality assessments.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
