Quality Engineer
Job Details
- We are seeking a Quality Engineer to manage all Quality Assurance activities related to our plating processes.
- This role requires a "soup to nuts" approach where you will own customer relationships, facilitate complaints, and ensure every precision component complies with rigorous aerospace and defense specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of quality processes to reduce plating defects and ensure flow down compliance.
- Manage Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) using 8D, 5-Why, and Pareto analysis.
- Maintain QMS documentation and training for ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
- Oversee the calibration recall program and periodic testing for all plating processes.
- Act as a bridge between engineering and quality during new product launches.
- Perform trend analysis and identify areas for continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.
- Conduct internal audits and support 2nd and 3rd party Nadcap and FAA audits.
- Mentor and train the quality team on best practices and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA).
Qualifications
- Experience with AS9100.
- 4+ years in quality, engineering, or functional testing.
- Deep understanding of quality engineering.
- Proficiency in Nadcap AC7108 and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Nice to Haves
- Metal Aerospace Component Manufacturing is a significant plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or relevant industry experience.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year
