About the role

The Associate UX / IA Director at Further is responsible for strategy and measurement in client projects, focusing on analytics program design, data strategy, and client leadership. This role requires extensive experience in product design, particularly in complex B2B SaaS, platform, or operator-facing products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the information architecture, including navigation, taxonomy, page hierarchy, language, and concept grouping.
  • Design critical workflows such as signal triage, action configuration, AI output review, and decision approval.
  • Build and maintain the design system, ensuring components, patterns, tokens, accessibility, and documentation are robust and accessible.
  • Set the standard for visual design, ensuring the product aligns with executive expectations.
  • Conduct user research with operators, account leads, and executives to guide product development.
  • Shape the product roadmap by influencing what should exist and in what order, based on user needs, business context, and platform coherence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data architecture, and leadership teams to ensure the product meets its intended goals.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of product design experience, with at least 4 years in a senior, lead, or principal role at a complex B2B SaaS, platform, or operator-facing product.
  • A portfolio demonstrating craft in complexity, including IA, Figma files, interaction design, and design systems.
  • Experience owning a design system in production, including components, tokens, patterns, governance, and engineering partnerships.
  • Direct research experience with senior practitioners or executives, including the ability to run interviews, synthesize findings, and present to non-design audiences.
  • Strong product instincts, able to argue for or against scope, sequence, or features based on user need, business context, and platform coherence.
  • A track record of mentoring designers, both formally and informally, and the ability to share best practices effectively.

  • Expertise in data-driven decision-making and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Passion for data and technology, with a deep understanding of how these tools can be used to improve business outcomes.
