About the role

Our partner is looking for a UX/UI Lead based in the United States. As UX/UI Lead, you will own the end-to-end design of a high-impact subscription and ecommerce experience serving thousands of customers. You will shape intuitive journeys across acquisition, checkout, account management, billing, retention, and subscription lifecycle experiences. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Creative, Brand, and Lifecycle teams, you will turn customer needs and business goals into thoughtful digital experiences. You will set a high bar for UX/UI craft, maintain scalable design systems, and champion accessibility and mobile-first design practices. The role combines hands-on design, research, experimentation, project leadership, and external contractor direction. You will use customer insights, behavioral data, usability testing, and A/B testing to continuously improve conversion, retention, and satisfaction. As an individual contributor in a fast-moving environment, you will have significant ownership and influence over the evolution of the digital product experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete design process for subscription and ecommerce experiences, balancing customer needs, commercial objectives, brand consistency, and technical feasibility.
  • Own UX/UI design across the subscriber journey, including signup, plan selection, account management, billing, payment, pause, skip, swap, cancellation, win-back, and lifecycle transitions.
  • Apply best practices in subscription commerce, including dunning, save flows, flexible cadence, bundling, upselling, cross-selling, and retention-focused experiences.
  • Design wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces while identifying and resolving friction throughout the conversion funnel.
  • Own Figma file organization and design-system integrity, including components, tokens, documentation, naming conventions, and reusable UI patterns.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems and style guides across mobile and web using a mobile-first approach.
  • Establish and promote UX/UI best practices, accessibility standards, and effective design workflows across the product organization.
  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including usability testing, subscriber interviews, behavioral analysis, and funnel analysis.
  • Use customer feedback, competitor research, experimentation, and A/B testing
