Things we care about

• Transparency: Our roadmap, compensation, strategy, and internal processes are public in our company handbook. We share revenue, board meeting notes, and fundraising plans internally so everyone has the context to make good decisions.
• Autonomy: Everyone chooses what to work on based on impact and interest. Engineers lead product teams and make product decisions. Teams are flexible and easy to change.
• Shipping fast: We prioritize small, autonomous teams of engineers who own products end-to-end, enabling us to outship larger companies. We default to async communication (PRs > Issues > Slack) and have meeting-free days to maximize building time.
• Time for building: We minimize meetings to focus on shipping. Tuesdays and Thursdays are meeting-free, and we prioritize heads-down time over perfect coordination.

Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for a builder who sits at the intersection of pixel-perfect design and high-velocity engineering. You are a product owner who uses the latest tools to ship ambitious features quickly. You speak "Designer intuition" (understanding typography, whitespace, visual hierarchy, and color theory) and "Developer Logic" (DOM, component lifecycles, and performance constraints). You don’t just build a button—you build reusable, accessible, and performant components. You have "keen eyes" for detail and treat every interaction as an opportunity to delight users. You don’t wait for specs; you grab ideas, design solutions, and ship code.

The TL;DR: We want someone with elite frontend skills, a refined design eye, an obsession with speed, and the ability to leverage AI (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to punch above their weight.

Responsibilities

• Polishing the Diamond: Own quality by identifying and fixing UX papercuts that elevate the product from a tool to a craft.
• Building Complex UI Components: Tackle technical challenges like a custom taxonomic filter, sophisticated date-time picker, and expanding our component library.
• Creating a Design System: Build reusable components to reduce technical debt and empower other developers.
• Shipping with AI: Use AI tools to augment your workflow, stepping into the backend when needed or automating mundane tasks.
• Iterating Quickly: Live in a tight feedback loop, prioritizing user experience above all else.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in React (Next.js or Remix experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and understanding of browser support quirks.
• A portfolio, Twitter, or Dribbble showcasing your ability to build beautiful things.
• Ability to articulate why one design works better than another.
• A natural bias for user experience and a passion for creating lovable products.
• A track record of shipping fast without breaking things.
• Willingness to step into the backend when needed, using tools like Claude/Codex to expand your comfort zone.
• Ability to justify design and technical decisions to prevent user frustration.
