About the role
We are seeking a UX designer to lead the redesign of a research project website (www.unityphilly.org). The work will involve investigating similar websites for design inspiration, assessing and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, producing mockups, gathering feedback, iterating on the mockups, and supporting development of the new website.
Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of stakeholders such as the research team, research participants, funders, public health officials, and the general public
- Use preferred tools to produce mockups, distribute them to gather feedback, and iterate accordingly
- Provide the team with recommendations based on comparable websites, good design and accessibility practices, technical considerations, and ease of website maintenance over time
Requirements
- Experience with a human-centered design process, including the challenges of balancing stakeholder needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders for needs assessment
- Solid UX design skills with preferred tools
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on assigned tasks
