About the role

We are looking for a UX Designer to drive meaningful improvements to our product’s usability and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and evaluate existing UX problems across the application, identifying the highest-impact areas of friction for users.
  • Redesign and re-implement UX elements and user flows to reduce complexity and improve overall usability.
  • Translate team-identified UX issues into concrete design solutions, from low-fidelity concepts through final specs.
  • Partner closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently, including hands-on pairing during build-out.
  • Collaborate with the product team to prioritize UX improvements alongside broader product goals.
  • Establish and iterate on design patterns that promote consistency and ease of use throughout the product.
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to continuously refine the experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio demonstrating measurable improvements to complex product interfaces.
  • Deep expertise in interaction design and flow optimization, with a proven ability to simplify complicated workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and the ability to produce high-quality, developer-ready specs.
  • Experience working directly alongside engineers in an agile environment, including hands-on involvement in implementation.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and systematically address UX problems using both qualitative feedback and product intuition.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where speed of execution and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Experience with user research methods such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines and practices.
  • Knowledge of web standards and best practices, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Skills

  • Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience with user interface prototyping tools like Axure or Marvel.
  • Strong understanding of human-computer interaction principles and user-centered design.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and iterative design processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you; 30% coverage for dependents.
  • Competitive salary and meaningful early-stage equity.
  • UnlimUnlimited PTO.
  • Hybrid/Remote stipend.
  • In-office perks: snacks, drinks, coffee, ping-pong table, and more — plus cuddles from Olive, our in-office Doberman!
  • Budget for intra-office travel.
  • 2–3 annual team meetups in person.

Pay
