UTSW Technician

About the Role

Diamond Technical Services, Inc (DTS) is mobilizing Level II Ultrasonic Shear Wave (UTSW) Technicians for an ongoing, long-term project in Pennsylvania. DTS is a trusted engineering and technical services consulting and inspection firm serving utility, oil and gas, chemical, power, and other industries nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform UTSW inspections and other NDE techniques in accordance with DTS procedure, client specifications, and industry standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.)
• Calibrate and operate advanced UT equipment and scanning systems
• Interpret and evaluate inspection data, calculations, and results
• Prepare clear, accurate technical reports
• Communicate and interact with site project managers, engineers, etc.
• Comply with all standard, DTS, and site safety standards

Requirements

• Current Level II UTSW certification
• Documented UT classroom training hours
• Documented UT OJT hours
• Hands-on experience with UTSW equipment and software
• Strong understanding of ASME, API, and AWS codes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in new construction
• Ability to pass background check
• Ability to pass drug screen at hire and randomly throughout the project duration
• US Citizenship is required
