Responsibilities

• Perform functions necessary to maintain and operate the plant’s coal handling system.
• May be assigned to perform functions of general helper, building maintenance worker, painter, warehouse worker, custodian, assisting equipment mechanic, and/or any other function necessary to assist other plant personnel in maintaining plant operations.
• Assist in the preventative maintenance program to avoid unnecessary downtime and maintain safe working habits.
• May include shift and weekend coverage.
• Perform specific duties such as vac truck operation, snow removal, plant cleanup, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or proof of equivalent.
• Pass qualifying physical exam and drug screen.
• Aptitude testing required.
• Willing to be flexible and work well with others.
• Physical demands:
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste or smell.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

Pay

$30.66‑$32.90 per hour (hiring range)
