About the role
The Utility Kitchen Worker is responsible for ensuring the highest quality and standards of cleanliness and sanitation, including washing dishes and pots, sweeping, mopping, removing garbage and cardboard.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all kitchenware and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to protocol
- Wash dishes, pots, and utensils using commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas daily
- Remove garbage and cardboard from dining rooms and kitchens
- Operate and maintain various kitchen appliances and equipment safely
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
- Working knowledge of commercial dishwasher, power washer, eye wash station, garbage compactor, garbage disposal, and commercial cooking equipment
- Read, write, and be understood in the English language
- Familiarity with basic computer skills
- Flu vaccine required during flu season
Qualifications
- Minimum of (2) shifts per month including weekends
- Hours: 11:30am - 7:30pm
