Utility Kitchen Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Sanitation
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area and follow hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensure all items are properly stored after cleaning.
• Kitchen Support
• Aid with receiving, storing, and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
• Clean out trash, clean floors, and ensure kitchen and storage areas remain clean and organized.
• Assist with basic food prep tasks (e.g., peeling vegetables, portioning items).
• Maintenance & Safety
• Monitor dish machine temperatures and cleaning chemicals to ensure proper sanitation.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Exposure to hot water, cleaning chemicals, and commercial kitchen equipment.
• May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
