Utility Worker I

The incumbent must operate light and heavy equipment and various hand tools in the maintenance and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems under direct supervision.

• Performs duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures.
• Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED supplemented by vocational training or coursework in mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Up to two years of experience or training in water production and distribution operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Valid state driver's license and obtain CDL within 180 days of employment.

Salary

$18.88/hour.
