Utility Worker/Dishwasher

About the role

The Utility Worker/Dishwasher position at Essex Meadows involves performing various kitchen activities such as pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies. This role requires following instructions and operating dish washing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area.
• Prepares for dish washing and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to set up and operate dish washing equipment.
• All new hires must pass a preemployment screening process, including a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
