Utility Worker - 2nd Shift

About the role

This role supports daily foundry operations by carrying out a range of production tasks, including core making, furnace operation, metal pouring, and mold preparation. It also involves sorting and staging castings, managing raw materials, and helping move materials throughout the production area.

Responsibilities

• Carries out core making, furnace operation, metal pouring, and mold preparation tasks.
• Sorts and stages castings.
• Manages raw materials.
• Helps move materials throughout the production area.
• Operates in a physically demanding, high-temperature environment.
• Stands for long periods.
• Safely lifts and moves materials within established guidelines.
• Works effectively as part of a team.
• Assists in different areas of the foundry as production needs shift.

Requirements

• Flexibility to assist in different areas of the foundry as production needs shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, high-temperature environment.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
