About the Role
A Utility Technician at Carillon Senior Living performs a variety of kitchen activities, including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies.
Responsibilities
- Sets up the dish and pot washing area
- Prepares for dishwashing and washes pots, dishes, and utensils
- Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes, and utensils
- Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
- Empties trash containers as required
- Completes all assigned cleaning tasks
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Performs dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies under the direction of supervisory personnel
- Transports all clean and soiled linen to and from laundry
- Food cart preparation (e.g., check food temps, document temps, reheat food, correct amount of food needed, etc.)
Requirements
- At least a ninth-grade education
- Minimum of three (3) months previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or club setting preferred; will train
- Restaurant, senior living, or equivalent food service experience
