Fox Pest is seeking a versatile Utility Technician to service clients' homes with leading-edge pest control and insulation solutions while delivering exceptional customer service.

About the role

As a Utility Technician, you’ll handle a variety of specialized services—including treatments for insulation, mosquitoes, bed bugs, termites, and more. Each day brings new challenges, requiring adaptability, expertise, and a readiness to tackle diverse tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Service customer homes professionally and satisfactorily.
  • Inspect properties to determine treatment types and identify invading pests.
  • Apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules to eliminate pests (specialized treatments).
  • Install, repair, and maintain insulation systems to enhance energy efficiency and pest prevention.
  • Follow safety procedures for application, re-entry, and use of protective gear/equipment.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and regulation-compliant service vehicles.
  • Uphold a professional appearance, including company uniform, footwear, and hygiene.
  • Build strong client relationships and exceed expectations through clear communication.
  • Advise clients on pest prevention strategies when appropriate.
  • Participate in training to enhance knowledge and meet licensing requirements.
  • Start the day with team meetings to review schedules and gather materials; end with paperwork and team debriefs.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience in pest technician or insulation work.
  • Ability to analyze pest activity and implement effective action plans.
  • Willingness to learn and follow protocols for applying chemical solutions and powders.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.

Pay

Starting pay of $20–$23 per hour, with additional commission and bonus opportunities.
