Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Relieve machine operators for scheduled breaks and lunches.
- Maintains compliance with company safety and housekeeping rules and procedures.
- Affords assistance to material handler with wrapping and moving finished pallets to designated areas and completing transfers within M3 accurately.
- Affords assistance to material handler with retrieving raw materials and delivering them to the appropriate lines.
- Ensures rolls are chocked or loaded onto roll stands properly to prevent safety concerns or contamination.
- Affords assistance to maintenance and tool room personnel as needed.
- Advises Shift Supervisor and/or Production Manager of major maintenance items.
- Affords assistance with emptying and maintaining grinding cages.
- Provides general support and assistance to Thermoforming and/or Maintenance Technicians.
- Helps with basic material handling and machine prep activities.
- Responds to support needs across all departments promptly and efficiently.
- Affords assistance with maintaining clean and safe work areas.
- Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
Competencies
- Sense of Urgency – Expected to fill in gaps to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail – Reviews transfers and roll allocations for accuracy within M3. Monitors grinding cages for proper material identification.

Qualifications
- Previous plastics experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and how to conduct transactions in M3.
- Certified to operate a forklift.
- Trained to use M3 for material allocations and transfers.
