Utility Technician

Job Summary

The Office Coffee Utility Tech position involves multiple duties including in-house coffee inventory management, servicing machines at customer locations, and serving as a backup for office coffee route delivery. Some locations may also train the utility tech as a relief driver for water sales and delivery, requiring a Class D license and heavy lifting capabilities. Duties include reading and ensuring proper loading of products and parts onto the truck, maintaining a professional image, delivering and servicing customers on the coffee route, performing preventive maintenance and repairs, managing warehouse inventory, conducting vehicle pre-trip and post-trip reports, operating electronic ordering devices and printers, cleaning and refurbishing equipment, securing keys and vehicles daily, and adhering to physical demands such as lifting up to 30 lbs. continuously and 60 lbs. intermittently.

• Maintains a professional image with customer focus
• Delivers and services every customer on the coffee route for that day
• Runs route/service calls profitably and efficiently
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment at customer locations
• Manages warehouse inventory: placing orders and receiving, verifying and organizing delivered inventory
• Operates electronic ordering device and printer
• Cleans and refurbishes equipment in-house and on customer sites
• Sets up and secures keys and vehicles daily

Physical Demands: Able to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously and 60 lbs. intermittently. Water sales and delivery requires lifting up to 60 lbs. continuously. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb on a frequent basis. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Work Environment: Work in many different environments including outside, inside, break rooms, offices, dock areas, exposed to cold, hot, and rainy conditions while traveling. Partial work is in temperature-controlled stockroom.
