About the role
Utility Reserves provide entry-level production support for all areas of the Jesup plant, including machines, finishing/warehouse, pulp mill, stores, and utilities. Employees work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, adhering to all safety regulations and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities
- Perform standard housekeeping duties
- Operate and monitor equipment and chemical processes
- Monitor power and recovery boilers
- Assemble line work and inspect products for customer satisfaction
- Adhere to repetitive tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment
Working Conditions
- Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, and elevated temperatures
- Required use of PPE, including hard hats, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, and safety shoes
- Physical demands: walking, reaching (including above head), bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds
Schedule
Hourly operations positions work a 12-hour rotating swing shift schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
