Utility Porter - Stewards - Steady Extra (Harrah's LV)

Responsibilities

• Follows all applicable safety precautions.
• Ensures that all kitchen trash is removed from the area and disposed of properly.
• Is at all times appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.
• Notifies department management of needed repair work in the kitchen area.
• Completes all general cleaning functions requiring ladder access.
• Maintains their assigned kitchen area in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.
• Safeguards foodservice supplies in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.
• Takes garbage, trash, and recyclables from kitchen areas to disposal sites.
• Completes power washing of equipment, outdoors.
• Cleans kitchen loading/receiving dock with power wash, daily.
• Completes sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Affords general assistance to other stewarding employees as needed (and time permitting) in their duties to ensure all food preparation areas are maintained to set standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months- 1 year’s work-related experience.
• Neat appearance with good personal hygiene.
• Ability to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift approximately 30 - 35 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to perform reaching, stooping, stretching, crouching, and twisting motions repeatedly.
