About the role

Provide support to the facility in various positions within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned.
• Pallet sorting and restacking.
• Identify product that does not meet customer specifications and perform rework and sanitation.
• Participate as a team member in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinate work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members.
• Attend appropriate team meetings.
• Foster team cohesiveness regarding major issues such as direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes.
• Identify areas lacking cohesiveness, bring them to the team leader’s attention, and work with the team to resolve issues.
• Look for ways to achieve synergy within the larger organization and reinforce needed actions.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies) and communicate concerns or improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes.
