Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate mill system to include all associated equipment, controls and duties of an operator.
- Operate bagger machines to include all associated equipment, controls and duties of an operator.
- Identify, troubleshoot and correct problems with the mill and bagger systems.
- Collect and prepare samples for the QC lab, if needed.
- Perform QC duties and lab tests if needed.
- Blow out equipment filters and lubricate, as needed.
- Operate front-end loader, conveying systems and dust collectors.
- Maintain silo levels to allow for continuous operations of all loading areas.
- Load customer trucks.
- Operate the trans-loader, inspect railcars and clean site, as needed.
- Operate stencil machine and any other instrument for the process.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties and assist maintenance when needed.
- Know and maintain product specifications.
- Operate forklift, as needed.
- Perform housekeeping around work area.
- C Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- A High School graduate or GED.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong moral and ethical standards.
- Must be able to work individually and in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to operate forklift, requires good eye hand coordination and smooth, simultaneous hand and foot control operation.
- General working knowledge of MSHA Safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a production environment.
- Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb up to 70 feet.
- Able to operate hand and foot controls simultaneously.
- Manual dexterity required for operation of hand controls and/or computer keyboard.
- Vision and a sense of hearing are also required.
