Responsibilities

• Blasting rolls, cementing rolls, preparing rolls for Autoclave
• Operating Autoclaves
• Making minor repairs and adjustments to Autoclaves
• Installing and removing bearings and process heads, transporting rolls
• Loading machines
• Moving raw material, mixing cement
• Cleaning, removing waste materials from machines
• Operating forklift to move parts
• Conforming to applicable specifications
• Maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of work area and equipment
• Observing all safety policies
• Completing tasks while following all safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Performing other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and follow instructions
• Learn the use of all methods and practices used in vulcanization of rolls
• Learn to use all measuring instruments and graphs required to check and perform job functions
• Knowledge of specifications within job functions
• Capable of wearing and using respirator and other safety equipment
• Full range of physical movement and ability to use equipment to lift and move considerable weight
• Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated effective customer service skills in dealing with vendors and internal customers
