Utility Maintenance Technician

Overview

Provides services in complete building and grounds maintenance for all facilities to which assigned.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design appropriate methods for maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all facilities, including exterior and interior walls, ceilings, floors, etc.
• May be required to perform maintenance of associated grounds.
• Order needed materials for maintenance projects.
• Operate related equipment as assigned.
• Perform manual labor tasks that require the lifting and carrying of objects weighing twenty-five (25) pounds or more.
• Perform pre-operational inspection of equipment to ensure proper and safe operation of the equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Skills and knowledge are typically acquired through a High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience.
• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days, the ability to pass a pre-employment driving physical, the ability to lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or more and the ability to operate equipment to which assigned is required.

Skills and Knowledge
