Description
The opportunity includes safely performing a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing areas, production, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties may also include performing and documenting quality audits, verifying job completion, understanding job sheets, checking job specifications to cartons, learning to make-ready machines, monitoring carton quality, maintaining materials for production, completing necessary reports, maintaining housekeeping to standards set by management, completing line clearance, and additional job duties as assigned by department managers.
Requirements
- Ability to work available position on 2nd Shift (3pm -11pm) or 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) with frequent overtime and mandatory Saturdays.
- Experience working in a sheet plant is a plus.
- Strong attendance and safety records.
- Available to work weekends, unscheduled holidays, and 12-hour shifts if required.
- Must have Machine Operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Must have 2 years of continuous manufacturing experience in the last 5 years.
- Must possess strong computer skills and apply use of technology in the workplace.
- Must comply with all safety regulations.
- Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Must possess excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to read a tape measure and effectively basic math.
- Must be able to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
- Must perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) as directed by supervisor.
- Must read and understand schedules.
- Must assist in driving production, safety, and quality.
