Machine Operator

The Role

We are seeking a Machine Operator to support our mission of transforming the way the world eats. This role involves ensuring automated machinery in our grow and packing areas operates smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure automated machinery such as optical sorters, scales, and bench movement systems run seamlessly.
• Fine-tune automated systems to achieve accurate task execution.
• Communicate across departments to align task priorities.
• Troubleshoot system errors and coordinate with maintenance when necessary.
• Facilitate training for new machinery.
• Occasionally provide direction to teams.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain continuous safety and efficiency.
• Report any potential food safety issues to supervisors.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with automated systems.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Understanding of safe food handling practices.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and evolving processes.
• One to two years of experience in a Machine Operator role.
• Agriculture, science, or food production background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Standing or walking for extended periods.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to 39-degree temperatures during packaging.
• Exposure to heights during grow operations.
