Job Description
Operate paper bag production equipment to produce grocery bags, retails bags, and specialty paper bag products.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure product quality standards for bag dimensions, print accuracy, glue application, and handle attachment are met; remove and report defects.
- Set up machinery and confirm materials, such as paper rolls, ink, adhesives, and packaging supplies, are prepared before production begins.
- Read and verify production orders to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor equipment during operation and report any issues with jams, print defects, mechanical issues, etc., promptly.
- Complete daily production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area, ensuring equipment and tools are stored safely and production waste is managed properly.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe workplace for everyone.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, GED, or applicable work experience.
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing work environment.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Ability to work 12 hour day and night rotating shift.
- Work overtime as required.
- Satisfy training courses as determined by management.
