About the role

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Bothell, Washington area. As an essential member of the community, ELM Technicians ensure the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems through accurate and efficient utility marking.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation
• Use advanced LaunchPoint software system for efficiency
• Complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers
• Receive daily tasks via a mobile work system
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

Skills

• Ability to work independently outdoors
• Knowledge of underground utility systems
• Proficiency with marking tools and mobile work systems

Schedule

Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, with flexibility to work on-call and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
