Utility Locate Technician - $24.00 - $30.00/hr Tri-Cities, Washington

ELM Utility Services, with a team of over 1,700 employees nationwide, is offering a great opportunity for a Utility Locate Technician in the Tri-Cities, Washington area. Our technicians are essential in their communities, ensuring that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, completing a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive daily tasks
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background check
• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license

This is a safety-sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.

Pay

Starting wages for this position will be $24.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
