Job Description

The Utility Line department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Utility Line Technician Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. About the Role

The Utility Line Technician Instructor will teach a full range of utility line program coursework with excellence. The ideal candidate also participates collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a full range of utility line program coursework with excellence.
  • Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development.
  • Contribute to outcomes assessment.
  • Engage in advisory council activities.
  • Collaborate on department or College projects.
  • May involve travel to other campuses.
  • May include day, evening and/or weekend classes.

Requirements

  • 8 years of FT related occupational experience OR 4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate’s degree in discipline or related discipline OR 2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline.
  • Higher Education / Community College Teaching Experience Preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience: 8 years of FT related occupational experience OR 4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate’s degree in discipline or related discipline OR 2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline.

Benefits

The position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.

Pay

Minimum Pay: $92,203.00

Compensation will be commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience.

Schedule

The position is a 232-day, 12-month contract.

Location

Applied Technology Center

May include day, evening and/or weekend classes.

May involve travel to other campuses.

Application Process

A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.

Hiring process includes passing a background check.

The position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
