Utility KC; B1 (Nights) - Auditor

About the Role

This position requires adaptability to perform a variety of jobs on the production line, in the department, or across the facility to assist supervisors or leads as needed. Tasks include breaking down large boxes, inspecting product, sanitation duties, and raking raw meat into freezers.

Responsibilities

• Performs various jobs on the line, adapting quickly to new positions and situations in all areas to meet established production levels.
• Assists in training new employees on basic dress requirements, safety aspects, job assignments, and sanitation procedures and policies.
• Participates as a team member in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members and attends appropriate team meetings.
• Fosters team cohesiveness on major issues (e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes) and identifies areas lacking cohesiveness to resolve them with the team leader.
• Supports Simmons' operating systems (e.g., quality, security, company policies) and communicates concerns or improvement ideas.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Physical Requirements

• Bending and lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to crown.
• Ability to work on feet all day.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (under 40°F to above 100°F) and noisy environments.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Will use hair net, ear plugs, and any other protective equipment as needed or required.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in the Food Processing Industry.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

B1-Shift: Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM; Wednesday, 6:00 PM–12:00 AM.
