Utility Inspection Technician

Responsibilities

• Check gas meters for leaks and corrosion through visual inspection.
• Ensure all required paperwork or electronic data are completed for each inspection.
• Report to the assigned work area on time at the start of each shift.
• Identify any abnormal operating conditions while on‑site.
• Accurately fill out all forms associated with the inspection visit (paper or electronic).

Requirements

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions (previous outdoor experience is a plus).
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.
• Capable of standing and walking for long periods on varying terrain; able to bend, stoop, and lift heavy items up to 75 lb.
• Proficiency with technology and ability to use simple hand tools.
• Clear communication skills with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners (customer service experience is a plus).
• Pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to read a utility map.

Pay

Starting rate $22 per hour plus a company vehicle.

Schedule

Daytime, full‑time positions in the Toledo, OH area. Overtime may be required, and the role may include weekend work. Instructor‑led training will be provided.
