Utility Food Worker

About the role
CH Laborers 380 work in various shifts, including 4-hour and 8-hour shifts, ranging from 6:30am-3pm, 7am-3:30pm, 10:30am-7pm, 3pm-7pm, or 4pm-7pm. They work weekends and holidays, and some positions require on-call availability.
Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with making appropriate daily menu selections
- Preparing, assembling, and delivering of patients' meal trays and snacks
- Calculating and modifying diets/fluid restrictions and calories
- Stocking of the pantries on the nursing units with patient food
- Performing various kitchen duties including sanitation and set-up and completing temperature logs
- Utilizing an automated tablet to record and transfer meal selections to the main computer
Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational degree in related fields, or 2 years of functional experience
- Requires verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey information that may be complex to those who may have limited knowledge in the subject matter
