Utility Driver - Non CDL
Job Description
Maintains a safe and clean working vehicle
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle
Understands and practices operating as prescribed in Athens Services Safety Rules
Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls before attempting service
Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and safety meetings
Works closely with Supervisors to improve efficiencies & identify problem or unsafe acts
Notifies Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
Attaches and removes pup trailers, belly dump & side dump trailers, transfer trailers and tilt/transport trailers to truck as needed
Monitors various gauges during operation of vehicle
Unrolls truck tarp to cover loads when required
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class C Driver’s License
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in a heavy labor role
- Acceptable driving record (H-6 printout will be requested)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry
- Forklift certified
Physical/Environmental Demands
- Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, & smelling continuously
- Problem solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, concentration, & interpersonal abilities continuously
- Eye/hand coordination, handling, & wrist motion continuously
- Bending, reaching, stretching, frequently, and lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. frequently
- Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet/hot conditions, & noise continuously
- Works outside only

4:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Mon-Fri

$26.93 per hour
