We are growing and currently in search of a Utility Dispatcher to join our team. As a self-motivated, high-energy, experienced Dispatcher, you will take your career to the next level with an ever-growing, essential-industry leader.
Responsibilities
At DCI, Dispatchers are the key to our terminal running smoothly. As a Utility Dispatcher, your duties will include coverage for Dispatchers that are out for vacation/leave of absence, yard checks, and redelivery validation.
- Dispatch truck drivers for pick-ups at customer locations, local ports, and railroads
- Confirm proper bookings and billings to meet customer requirements
- Enter data in the computer for planning and general information
- Provide necessary communications to the terminal regarding specific customer requests
- Be willing to work extended hours to meet and exceed customer needs
Requirements and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Safety Compliance
- Familiarity with DOT safety compliance
- Thrives off working in a high-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize/multitask
- Computer Savvy
