About the role
Our Utility Cleaners play an important role in supporting various hotel functions. These associates may work across different departments like kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry to meet cleaning needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools (e.g., dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers and dryers).
- Transport dishware or linens across the hotel.
- Create a safe workplace, follow company policies and procedures, uphold quality standards, and ensure professional uniform, personal appearance, and communication.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Support the team to reach common goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Maintain physical fitness to perform tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
Requirements
No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. No related work experience needed. No supervisory experience required.
