Utility Worker / Cleaner

About the role

Transdev in Allentown, PA is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. This position requires performing basic vehicle servicing duties and is non-CBA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
• Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
• Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log and record all fluids
• Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
• Aged 21 years or older
• Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed

Physical Requirements

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions
• Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
