About the role

Essential Functions: Detect, investigate, and provide expert court testimony regarding latent prints, advanced ridgeology techniques, latent print examination, or AFIS usage.

Responsibilities

• Detect, investigate, and provide expert court testimony regarding latent prints, advanced ridgeology techniques, latent print examination, or AFIS usage.
• Must be certified as a Latent Print Examiner by the International Association for Identification (I.A.I) within the probationary period.
• Must have an eight-year combination of specified education and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in criminalistics/forensics, natural sciences (chemistry, biology, physics), or social science fields.
• Four (4) years experience in one (1) or more of the following: latent print comparison, advanced ridgeology techniques, latent print examination, or utilizing AFIS in a recognized criminal/crime scene laboratory.
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain certification as a Latent Print Examiner by the International Association for Identification (I.A.I) within the probationary period.
