Utilities Service Tech Assistant

Position Details

Aid in the upkeep and repair of condensate, steam, and heating systems. Support in setting up new equipment and handle emergency situations when necessary. Document and maintain EPA-required information for designated equipment. Utilize relevant software to access data. Promote safety practices both in the workshop and field. Drive a university vehicle to transport tools, materials, and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

• High school diploma with related vocational coursework or one year of experience involving knowledge of condensate, steam, and/or heating systems.
• Experience with computers and mobile technology is required.
• A valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one, along with a completed drivers' check, is mandatory.
• Initial employment is contingent upon passing a background check.

Anticipated Pay Range

$20.00-$22.00/hour

Special Conditions

• A probationary period may be required.
• Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be necessary (if non-exempt, may result in overtime).
• This position is not eligible for telework due to essential functions.
• A background check is required for this position.
