Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area
- Perform routine and intermediate rounds on mechanical, electrical, and utility systems, independently identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving standard issues
- Conduct defined troubleshooting and repair on facilities and production support equipment
- Act as a First Responder to diagnose and resolve routine operational and utility issues, escalating complex incidents as needed
- Absess utility outages (e.g., compressed air, HVAC, nitrogen, process water) and implement corrective actions
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders to identify faults and execute repairs
- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to measure system parameters (e.g., pressure, temperature, humidity, airflow, ampacity, particulates) across utilities and process systems
- Escalate complex, non-standard, or system-wide issues to senior technicians while providing relevant diagnostic information
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or facilities operations
- Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and/or HVAC systems
- Apply working knowledge of industrial utility systems (e.g., compressed air, vacuum, nitrogen, DI water, process cooling water, dust collection)
- Use CMMS to track labor hours, equipment history, and maintenance activities
- Identify equipment performance issues and support root cause identification and reliability improvements
- Detect faulty operations and defective materials; escalate abnormal conditions
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
- Possess a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) License and Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- NFPA70E Qualified Electrical Worker (or equivalent electrical safety certification)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30HAZWOPER 8 or 40
