We are recruiting a Senior UX Researcher to join our client’s product and design team. In this role, you will help shape user-centered experiences by planning, conducting, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research.

About the role

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and stakeholders to uncover user needs, validate design concepts, and provide actionable insights that drive product decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding user behavior, experienced with a variety of research methodologies, and able to communicate findings effectively to influence product strategy and design. This is a hybrid role in one of these offices: Atlanta, GA, Portland, ME, or Chattanooga, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute end-to-end UX research studies across the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct qualitative research including user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiries, focus groups, and diary studies.
  • Analyze quantitative data from surveys, analytics platforms, and user behavior metrics.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights, recommendations, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to inform product strategy and design decisions.
  • Identify user pain points, needs, behaviors, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Create research plans, discussion guides, survey instruments, and usability test protocols.
  • Develop personas, journey maps, workflows, and other customer experience artifacts.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and advocate for user-centered design principles.
  • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while meeting project timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Human Factors, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of UX Research experience supporting digital products or services.
  • Proven experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Strong understanding of usability testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience translating research findings into actionable product and design recommendations.
  • Proficiency with research tools such as UserTesting, UserZoom, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Dovetail, Lookback, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.
  • Background researching web, mobile, SaaS, or enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar.
  • Experience creating personas, customer journey maps, and service blueprints.
  • Advanced degree in a related discipline is a plus.
