About the role
Epic is seeking a UX Designer to lead experience and visual design for several development teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with users to understand their needs, conduct research, and collaborate with developers to create intuitive and visually appealing applications.
Responsibilities
- Meet with end-users to gather insights and define user needs
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions
- Observe application usage to identify pain points and opportunities
- Work collaboratively with developers to translate designs into functional applications
- Create various design deliverables including sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or greater in a relevant field
- Experience or education in user-centered design techniques
- Strong portfolio showcasing user experience and visual design skills
Qualifications
- Ability to relocate to Madison, WI
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and patient care
Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with user research methods and usability testing
- Understanding of information architecture and interaction design
