User Experience Design Intern

About the role

This summer internship is based on Epic’s campus just outside Madison, WI, and includes financial relocation assistance for candidates moving to the area. As a User Experience Design Intern you will collaborate with fellow interns and full‑time designers and developers to create user‑centered applications for web, desktop, or mobile devices. You will be mentored by UXD professionals, take ownership of challenging, meaningful projects from day one, and gain a deep understanding of user needs that directly shape how millions of Americans receive healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow interns and full‑time designers and developers to design user‑centered applications for web, desktop, or mobile platforms.
• Work under mentorship from UXD professionals and take ownership of challenging, meaningful projects from day one.
• Gather and analyze user needs to inform interaction design of new applications.
• Deliver high‑quality work that directly improves the healthcare experience for millions of Americans.

Requirements

• Working toward a BS/BA (or combined BS/MS) in User Experience Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field.
• Junior standing or higher, with a history of academic success.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to relocate to Madison, WI for the duration of the internship.
• COVID‑19 vaccination.
