About the Role
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining instock and inventory levels. Oversees budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs.
Responsibilities
- Model, enforce, and provide direction on proper customer service approaches and techniques to ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within company guidelines.
- Oversee and participate in community outreach programs, encouraging associates to serve as good community members.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and developing action plans to improve performance.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating customers, selecting products based on their needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining optical equipment.
- Uphold the company’s Open Door Policy by addressing associate concerns, researching issues, and suggesting resolutions.
- Coordinate and complete job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting business initiatives, and measuring progress toward goals.
- Promote a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence by fostering high-performing teams, embracing diversity, and encouraging continuous learning.
- Serve customers and members by delivering results, adapting to shopping behaviors, and balancing short- and long-term priorities.
Requirements
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

- Experience supervising associates.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $30.50 - $43.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
