(USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT

About the Role

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting Landscape Operators. As an Exterior Services Technician - DOT Operator, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing landscape projects and collaborating within a dedicated team to maintain the grounds year-round.

Responsibilities

• Conduct grounds maintenance activities in parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Work alongside fellow associates to manage all aspects of landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Adhere to stringent safety, security, and integrity protocols, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements at local, federal, and state levels.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluate landscaping needs and implement sustainable upgrades.
• Duties include mowing, trimming, and pruning to ensure the exterior environment remains pristine.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions or reckless driving incidents involving alcohol or drugs within the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Experience in third-party management.
• Experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.
• State/local licensing where required (e.g., Florida, Texas, California, etc.).

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
