Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes touring stores, providing feedback, communicating with all levels of associates, utilizing technology, and implementing business solutions.

What you'll do...

  • Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
  • Collaborates with associates at all levels regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides team implementation of business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and building accountability for achieving results.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the Walmart mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and acts with integrity.
  • Builds high-performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects individuals, works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence, attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure differentials.

Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
