What you'll do

  • Learns and teaches associates, providing feedback during tours.
  • Collaborates with all levels of associates to manage store operations.
  • Utilizes technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction to lead change.
  • Provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Models exceptional customer service by demonstrating the Better Way service model.
  • Demonstrates the Better Way service model, manages and supports customer service initiatives, and resolves customer needs and issues.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
  • Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Hires, trains, and mentors associates, assigning duties and setting clear expectations.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinates and oversees activities, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identifies and communicates goals and objectives, building accountability and measuring progress in achieving results.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).

This job has an additional differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

For facilities that sell firearms, associates will be required to successfully complete a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.

For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, associates will be required to have a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.
