(USA) Service Shop Entry Technician

Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs following company guidelines under the direct supervision of a qualified shop technician on Walmart equipment (e.g., trailers) by:
- Creating and processing work orders
- Assessing maintenance and repair needs
- Identifying needed parts and possible solutions
- Selecting the best possible solution
- Conducting maintenance and repairs (e.g., dismounting/installing tires on wheels, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, replacing lights, trailer door repairs)
- Following company and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and requirements
- Seeking approval for maintenance and repairs performed by qualified shop technicians
- Communicating with individuals or groups (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and in writing
- Completing work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
- Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling by:
- Monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance
- Following procedures for fuel additives
- Monitoring tank levels before and after the drop
- Collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping
- Completing appropriate paperwork

You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount depends on your job classification and length of employment and will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.
Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $28.15 - $31.65. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
