The Senior Manager, Procurement leads the execution of strategic sourcing and category management initiatives to optimize cost efficiency and mitigate risks across complex supply chains. This role drives supplier relationship management, negotiates contracts, and applies advanced financial analysis to support informed decision-making. By fostering collaboration across functions and mentoring team members, the position ensures alignment with business objectives and compliance with company policies. The role demands adaptability, problem-solving expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement to deliver measurable value and support Walmart’s operational excellence.

What you'll do

• Partner with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align commercial strategies with sourcing, production, and business objectives.
• Lead commercial management activities across Walmart's beef network by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Analyze commodity market trends, pricing data, production performance, and operational metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop pricing recommendations by monitoring beef commodity markets, supply and demand trends, and production economics.
• Manage customer relationships by ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capabilities, and procurement strategies.
• Influence cross-functional initiatives that improve profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities that optimize value and improve business performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field.
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Option 1: Certified Purchasing Manager or related purchasing manager certification.
• Option 2: Experience with cross-functional teams.
• Option 3: Master's degree in business or related field.
• Option 4: Supervisory experience.
